We're all in a rush all the time, yet we almost always take a minute or two grab a bite. We do this because a) it's been ingrained in us since childhood and b) the food is there.

Now imagine being in a big rush and WANTING to take a minute or two to grab a bite, yet the food isn't there.

In many parts of the world people are in a big rush just like us in the affluent West.

The kicker is that the big rush is to survive, and tragically many times the big rush has no payoff. No matter how hard they try to survive, the resources just aren't there.

Poverty and hunger in these places aren't a temporary situation, they are the rule of daily life.
