Explain to me how some countries are so unbelievably advanced and relatively rich, and yet hunger and poverty still happen? I can't seem to get that thru my thick skull.

Margareta I think it is a good question. In the west Europe countries the "democracy" continued in its own way(I don't realy know about U.S.),while in the south-east part, the communism blocked the nation developement. That's why, we the Romanians, are about 10 or 15 years later than the the other developed countries. And people's mentality and behaviour is strange, too.

Could it be that some people believe its below them to farm and everyboby wants to be an executive I dont think its below me but I want to be an executive if you get what I mean.
The amount of energy required to produce is not being given, especially since slavery is illegal.
You should read a bit of history, the colonisation for example and how the west made its riches, it has nt changed much since the underdeveloped countries are daily being taken advantage of, the accumulation of capital religion in the west cares little for the people who have nothing they will buy everyithing from them for miniscule prices ifit will give them a good profit while the poor nations(in africa for example) are loosing their natural resourses to the rich without having a fair chance toa fair trade

What you say is so true - much of where we are as a world today can be told in our history...but then, that approach alone leaves the issue of poverty and equity as a remote event that we do not adopt as our personal mission to correct. There is more to this issue than the historical events. It lies in our daily attitudes about what is our duty as humans to other humans who need to be empowered.
