Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to express myself.
The word thanks is a powerful word when used sincerely.
If we are greatful we appreciate what is given to us and cherish those opportunities.
Therfore as I have frequently said the world hunger requires the assistance and intelligence of a multi tasking body. No one person or group can solve the world's hunger.
One of the many first principle is that we appreciate what we have example fresh air, good soil and running waters.
These vital resources can be combined into a formula for success.
I seem to believe in the idea of first. I cant explain it, but again first we must go into the small villages and community and say to the people how are you feeding yourselves. do you have a bartering system that allows exchange of goods and are some of these goods agricultural goods.
Is there an interest in your community to rare and provide at least some of your own foods and if there is none, then the small village or community must start to contribute to the food supply. Then each township which is made up of villages should also have multiple source of food production, followed by the city or state cotributing on an even larger scale. Combined food production is measured as the total capital prodution for that country, which should be at least adequate if approached in this manner
It might be presented that each country should have its agricultural governing body investigate how much each village is contributing to production of food and give incentives to increase prodution where necessary, thereby showing an interest in preventing hunger.
At another time I will examine the attitudes of those who are hungry and see how these attitudes can change to fascilitate leadership and productivity. If there is no harmony in purpose then nothing can be acheived.

Hunger is not just a lack of fuel for the body but a lack of norishment to the mind.It greives me to even write about hunger, so one can imagine how the people who are actually hungry feel. Maybe each person should have an automatic withdrawal from there pay check that goes to a world organization that is resposible and can honestly utilze the money effectively.

I might say I just had an enlightment that I now beleive we can acheive world peace through the world hunger program.I beleive this is possible if we all join together to feed the world hungry through concilliation compassion, oneness in goal and purpose.
Our world purpose must be to save planet Earth and save the hungry of the world. If this becomes an international anthem. Then all those political entities that are fighting will see that there is a bigger purpose at hand than there political agenda. I in no way credit myself for these ideas as there have been many Saints past and recent who have fought the battle for peace and world hunger all there lives. I currently commend Al Gore for his desire to save our planet and acknowledge Mother Teresa's assistance to the poor and hungry and to the many Missionaries who are often forgettn we say "God Bless you and keep you." The desolation of killing and fighting should stop,People who are fighting should come face to face with the fact that the end result of war will be one year shorter for the existence of planet Earth, This idea maybe real or unreal but it can be felt by natures reaction to war seen or unseen.
1)Sunami
2)massive hurricane
3)landslide
4)Toxic waste and polution.
5)dry wasted land
6)dessert storms
7)drought and pestillence
Thank God these phenomenon are not wide spread but occur in pockets, but I say to the world If we do not calm down and respect each other, cherish each other and work together then these enviromental escapadeds will out do the population. They will bash us and lash us until we are all worn out and unable to recover. God will not help us because we showed no love to one another we did not care if they killed one or ten and we did not cry when 50 innocent lives was lost.I say to you let there be peace so we can enjoy Languages, Literature from around the world, Peotry, Music in moderation, Theatre the Arts, Fashion, Nature, Animals the Birds the Fishes the Fresh Air Laughter and Joy.We will help our sick and care for our aged.We will go to the parks and mix with our friend and bring back old world charm. We must find away before it is too late.

I would like to continue my discussion regarding how can the attitude of the poor change to fascilitate increased food production. It cannot be changed without assistance.Hunger as anyone knows can lead to fustration and resentment cause known or unknown. These fustrations result in a change in attitude not positive but negative.Prolonged hunger leads to poor health, heart deasease and skin maladies.Hunger can lead to depression and weakness. One needs strenght and energy if they are to perform.
Its very difficult to concentrate when you are hungry.I have been hungry many times but thank God not as often as I should have been to drop some unwanted weight.
To get things started any world organization willing to aid hunger should start by giving the patrons extremely high protein foods not excess rice and flour but soy protein and milk products which they do give. They then should concentrate on hydration in the form prabable of gatoraid as hungry people are often dehydrated. They should be started on B12 shots to delay anemia.
They should be rationed breakfast bars to start the day with energy. But a selected breakfast bar as some are better than others. The food should not be allocated in bulks to any one family, often the food is sold. The people should attend the food clinic daily to receive a carefully planned meal or their should be a mobile unit that visists a village three times a day.The food center should also be like a community center were education and techniques are taught how to create money and resources. The government of that area should donate few acres of land, free of harrsssment, were some farming can begin(communal farming)after this farming is developed then the villagers will pay a small fee or contribute to the work bank for there food stock.
This will only be to feed the village once the health of the people has stabilized the goal will be to develop individual trade and craftship, entreprenureship and individualistic goals and ambition. These are just ideas and may be happening around the world as I write. I hope so.Now, attitudes will begin to change only when the body feels satiated and comfortable, the people will be able to think rationally. They will be able to know that dishormony will not cure world hunger but will propel the problem into a crisis.
Comfort sometimes lead to laziness which leads to poverty which leads to hunger.Next time we will figure out how to keep people motivated towards production.
Note the food bank should carefully prepare the food paying attention to the colour and presentation of the food because as crazy as it sounds ugly food only leads to more distress. The cleanliness and set up of the food clinic should also be carefully planned as the general appearance can also affect the spirit of the peopple. Their should be special attentioned payed to hand washing by the attendess and this should be supervised as it will reduce the spread of deasea in the confined area of the food clinic. Proper attention should be payed to the storage and handling of the food
and the attitude of those sharing the food should not be condescending but generous and smiling. These details will begin to stimulate change in the heart of the hungry, change for the better, in thinking, attitude and selflove.
Let us pray for world peace.

I had promised to examine the attitude of those who are hungry.I am trying hard to learn to be disciplin to change some of my bad habits, nothing illegal but things that could make me a better person.
So as I embark on this analysis and possible solution I in no way hold myself better than anyone else in fact i have much to learn but I do have the knowledge of what is rigth from wrong about most things.
Poverty as I can see seems to cause a feeling, of helplessness, a feeling of hopelessness, of being lost and of no value. Therefore poor people without much rsource deserves much simpathy, reassurance and love because it is these things which will bring a smile to a poor persons face and a twinkle in their heart and then a warmth to their tummy which will cause them to be motivated and heal apathy and cause a desire live. It is this desire to live which will create the drive to do what it takes to survive but then this drive must be directed in the right manner to prevent the urge to get a quick buck.In each person living in poverty we must see their uniquness and appreciate what talent may be displayed. There might be somebody with extra energy who can be assigned a challenge that they will live up to, their may be someboby who is intelligent who can come up with a solution but these human potential must be harnessed.
We cannot ignore that poverty leads to anger and resentment especially if the people are oppressed. So the key should be find the oppression and create a soultion to the problem. The poor people must be free to unleash their true human resources.
Then we must quench their anger, that is a tough one. But if we can create a loving respectful environment then the people can begin to follow good leadership to release kenetic energy and in essence begin to produce goods and services. To create peace in unique countries and village any organization attempting to enter in must go with an understanding of the people of that regions culture, religeon and politics they must understand whom these people respect and whom they despise they must understand why there is respect and why their is hatred and then gather at the "table of reconciliation," a table of compromise a table of understanding where the lines are drawn and what offends and what does not offend is understood. An understasnding by all that people of differing veiws must be allowed to walk the earth freely without fear and intimidation. An understanding by all humans that their must be a "meeting ground" by all culture of a general rule of what is not tolerated and is punishable what is a morall offence against another human and nature that is punishable by law in every country in the hope to attain world peace. I will continue to examine attitudes and poverty at another time thanks

I heard in the news that china produces millions of pounds of garlic and it seems they take agriculture very seriously are effecient, advanced and in tune with market demands.
But my suggestion to our region, with its growing populatuion, is that we should produce in large quantities to match any other world power so that we do not become dependent.
We should match the chinese producers with equal volume, efficiecy and carefullness. Dependency is a helpless situation to be in, though it cant be helped at times it can be controlled.
Note that my comments are not based on total knowledge but based on total speculation which can be applicable where necessary. for example there already might exist mass production of vital foods , There might be efficiency way above the norm and in such case it should continue.
Production cannot slow down it must continue. We must realize that immigrants are one gift that god has given to us that there worth is more than Gold in there ability to feed the world if this resource is used wisely and with the respect which it deserve. There belief in hard work there resiliecy and drive are vital to the concept of mass farming. We cannot give up
on our people but we must train them to apply themselves corrctly to whatever task is required to feed their country and the world.
I see the future as bright with busy happy people feeding themselves and the world.
There is hope but we must not wait until it is too late then try to hurry to fix the problem.
Hi griercamille,
What you described is almost exactly what Heifer.org does. They are invited into communities of need and they asses the needs of the community and the resources available and from there help create a plan on how the community can be self-sustaining.
One very important step is that when a family receives resources and training, the must perform a "pass on" and give offspring and training to someone else.
If you haven't heard about Heifer, I would strongly suggest looking into them since your ideas mirror theirs.
Cheers,
Erik
