You know; I don't think most people realize that in helping someone else they are truly helping themselves. Not just by making it easer to grow as a person and feel better about themselves for trying to make a difference, but by helping themselves to grow spiritually as well. If your wondering why I'm telling you this or if I'm going to try to force my own beliefs on you please don't worry . I am in no way trying to make anyone believe what I believe. Everyone has the right to decide for themselves what they do in life that's the way it's meant to be. You see; I am a very open minded person and I am always learning new things from people, TV, Internet, books and any other way I can. I take in everything around me all the time. My mind is constantly going running thinking about everything. I can hardly get to sleep it takes me for ever and then I wake up at least half a dozen times most nights, even if I'm so tired I can't stand it and want nothing more then to sleep it just never stops. Even if I'm in the middle of doing something my mind is still working with another thing on the side. But I feel that I am this way to help me do what I am here to do, to wake up the sleeping hearts and unconscious minds, to give sight to those that are blind to all the things gone wrong. You don't have to believe what I am telling you please just read what I have to say, for even if you do not believe. Can you truly say that it's a bad idea ? If it could happen like that would it be a bad thing ? I feel that no matter where we are from what we believe or don't believe about religion and where humans come from or what we are doing here one things for sure, that in the beginning no matter how we came to be, it happened the same way for us all. So it's fare then to say that we come from the same place if you look far enough back, and as time goes on we grow further and further apart, and the different cultures we've adopted along the way are driving us further apart with each passing day and in so many different ways like race, money, country, religious beliefs, sex, and so many more. It hurts me so much inside to know that there are people that suffer everyday even though they don't have to. I believe that everyone has an obligation to help others around them that are in need and that though we should all do our part to help, people with extra money that they don't really need to live a safe or happy life are given that extra money as a way to help those in need but it's up to them if they help out or not. The worst part about that is that most people in our country are taught it's not good to be in touch with your spiritual side and those who are more often then not get ridiculed for it so they hide or ignore anything they feel inside and let the most important part of themselves die their HUMANITY. I feel that if I can think of the right way to talk to people find the right words to say maybe I can help them see that by realizing the importance of helping others and letting themselves open up to the world around them and see the bigger picture in a way most never do then maybe before I leave this world for the last time I can see my dream of a world joined together as one all helping each other so that no one gets left out become a reality. The souls that dwell in all of us know weather we do or not that to help is the right thing but if we don't understand whats making us feel down then we don't know what to do to make it right. Thats why I think a lot of people that have money end up going to therapy or have the other problems that they tend to have because if your not doing the right thing even if you don't realize it your subconscious or your soul will let you know somethings wrong it's just up to you to find out what a lot of the time and since we are pulled so far from what we're supposed to be and made to believe that the things that can feel so real or so right are wrong it can make it hard to understand what the problem really is and can a lot of the time be miss-diagnosed do to the fact that therapists are taught that, that sort of thing is a very unconventional way of thinking and is often times frowned upon. I know it seems that I can ramble on and on and that I lose track of what I'm saying but if you pay close attention as you read it I don't think it should be hard to see what I'm saying. I only hope that I can live to see my dream of a better world come alive I want nothing more aside from seeing my daughter grow up to be a great person with a kind heart that I hope will be as passionate about this cause as I am and that she will live a long and happy life full of love and fulfillment. Please don't think I'm just trying to get something from somebody I don't want money I'm not looking for fame I only want to make this world what it should be a place of great happiness full of love joy and laughter where no one goes hungry or does without because no matter what happens there is always someone there with them that can help make things right again, and to help ease the pain of what ever they are suffering from. I believe that you should do unto others as you would have them do unto you and if more people lived by that I think that, that in it's self would make this world a little better. And I don't think that simple lack of education is the mane cause of the problem because I only have traditionally a fifth grade education from sixth to ninth grade I was home schooled by my Mother but I only had books the first year and though I passed the end of the year test each year I never did a bit of work my Mother didn't really have time to teach me even when we had the books the first year she worked from 8:00A.M. to 6:00P.M. or later and my Dad worked nights so he slept in the day and some one had to watch my brother who wasn't old enough for school and even when he was I watched him after school and often took the city bus to pick him up in the afternoons. Then at 13 I got pregnant by this boy I thought loved me the only boyfriend I'd ever had the only boy that ever saw me as anything more then a tom boy who turned out to be such a jerk I carried the baby for six months then lost her she lived for a day and a half but her lungs weren't strong enough for her to breath on her own and since the hospital didn't believe me all the times I went to them and told them something was wrong they hadn't given her the shots she would have needed to make it through being born so early. After my Megan died I didn't really feel I had a reason to be here any more all the joy had been ripped from my life and at that time in my life I hated God but it wasn't really his fault that I felt that way there had been a preacher at the hospital that took me and my Mother to the chapel to pray just minutes before she died while we were there he told us that if we prayed hard enough and wanted it enough and believed in God enough that God might change his mind and let her stay then his pager started going off and it was the N. I. C. U. calling to tell him to bring me back up there right away. As soon as we turned the corner of the floor she was on I saw her doctor sitting on the floor with her hands over her face crying I jumped up out of my wheelchair and ran to her she then told me that my baby had a hole in her right lung and bleeding on the brain and that she was loosing blood faster then they could get it into her, her vitals were dropping fast and there was really nothing more they could do for her the doctor said. So she took me in to where Megan was they took her off the machines that had been keeping her alive and handed her straight to me, she died right there in my arms. When she died part of me died to I was an empty shell of my former self and I just wanted to die I thought of God if He loves us so much and He wants us to be happy, if we are His children then why would He put us through something like this ? To give someone the greatest gift of all just to take it away like that I just couldn't understand it and I realized that the only way I was going to get through all that I was feeling was to have another baby. If I didn't I would ether end up in a nut house somewhere or worse I would do something stupid like kill myself. So I started to try and understand what happened with Megan and get my life at least a little bit back to normal and when I was 15 I let the boy who had Fathered my first child think I would finally take him back like he wanted me to so he would sleep with me and I could if it was Gods will have another baby and not have to go be with someone I didn't know to make it happen and sure enough after just two tries I got pregnant with my Alissa and she was born just 13 days after my 16th birthday she means the world to me and I do everything I can to give her the best life possible and I try to make sure I'm there for her any time she needs me or wants me to be. I also still take care of my brother he lives with my husband, my daughter and myself that way I can make sure he stays in school and gets a good education and makes a good life for himself. But with all I've been through I wouldn't trade anything except that I would want Megan to get to stay on either with me too but I know she couldn't it just wasn't meant to be. But there isn't anything else I would change because it is my past that made me who I am which is preparing me for my future. May we all do what we can to be the best we can be to one another. For that is the key.
I have alway thought about this and this could possibly be the only way out. To make every person a WHOLE person. I read this from a book. It says everyone was born WHOLE. We have all the great qualities, bravery, honest, compassion, loving, humble, contribution, servant.... from birth. Sadly, our nuturing took away our wholeness. We are in fact taught to be mean, to fear, to be suspicious, to outdo others, to judge..... Fortunately, self reflection can help us reclaim our wholeness so that we can be giving again.
This is a good point you've made, and you're right society does teach us to strive to be the best, look the best, they even give out awards when you graduate from high school for the best of's and most likely to's. Then when you grow up and get out into the world on you're own, often times people will tell you never trust any one, and sadly society has made this true as well. It's done this by molding the lower class in many cases to feel that they can not succeed and there for shouldn't waist time or other peoples money to do so, and that the ones that do are lucky. Society also teaches the wealthy that they are in some way better then the pour and that to be around them, to look like them or as they say act like them is bad. And it's really sad that the only reason some of the rich and famous that are helping now are doing it as a fad but if that's what it takes to start them down the right path so be it. Maybe as more people start to realize that there are many problems with the way we raise our children and the way we treat one another the more will be done to fix those problems.

your story is really powerful. it's amazing how pain can force us to another dimension and help us see life for what it is, both good and bad. i'm so sorry to hear Megan's story. your words are a tribute to her life.
Thank you, and you are right. In some ways I think that the harder something is the more there is to be learned from it. All you can do is live your life the best way you no how to, be the best person you can be, believe in yourself, think clearly, keep an open mind, listen to your soul and hallow your heart and if you stay true to yourself and help others when you can you will learn a lot about life just by living it.
All it takes is understanding that everyone has feelings and needs and that everyone falls on hard times. But some have really hard times and just because you may never have had to sleep on the street, eat from the trash or needed help and had nowhere to turn, doesn't mean everyone's that lucky. This world will be a better place if we see it with an open mind and understand that we're the HUMAN RACE, MAN KIND, we're all part of the same family. And most of us wouldn't deny our Mom,Dad,or any other family or friends we know any manner of help if they need it. So why then do many of us turn away if we see somebody we don't know that needs help ? Even if we can help them we instead chose not to. It's very sad to know that a lot of the wrongs going on in this world are unnecessary and could be set right quite easily if more of us would do what we can to pass the kindness on.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS WORLD ?
What happened to the kindness, this nation's warm and caring heart ? Now the nation's full of blindness and few people do their part. There are vagrants on the streets, some as young as in their teens, with no good hand to guide them where will their road lead ? We've got babies having babies, we've got babies killing babies and I think it's because we've got babies leading babies. Most parents of today aren't what parents use to be, parents from the good old days, you would never see let their children get away with things these children do today. And that's not all I have to say, everyone could do more then most people do. But most people that have money to spare, spend it on themselves or hoard it away for a rainy day and never share the wealth. It's sad to think how many starve, how many freeze to death, it's sad to think how many sick, how many close to dead. It's sad to know that medicine, food, water and warmth, things we take for granted are the very things they want. It's sad to think how many people may have got to live if more of the wealthy would just go on and give. Give into the yearning to be fulfilled inside. Give in to your hearts, and let them be your guide. For what could make you more alive then to know you saved an entire tribe ? That a hundred children might have died until you stepped into their lives.
But you don't have to be rich to give others a helping hand, there are people all over the world that could use a cushioned land. You don't have to work yourself to death or give up what you own. Just do what you can for them, the kindness will go on. If more people everywhere started to open up and care the world would be a better place filled with many happy days. I believe you should treat others the way you want to be treated and if more people felt that way, kindness would be undefeated.

That is so right. It is all about love and it's just as important to love yourself as it is to have love for others around you weather you know them or not.
I think that often times people don't stop to consider other peoples feelings or to think about if what they are doing or want to do will affect another in a bad way or not. It's not that most people are bad or mean it's just that with so much going on all the time in each of our lives in this world today it can leave little room or time for you to stop and think about if you've hurt someone with something you said or did. It can also make it hard to think about ways to help each other because for a lot of people it's hard to think of a way to have five minutes to yourself or five dollars to your name, and that can not only have you stressed out over a lot of things it can also make you start to feel differently about yourself and even being to think your worthless. But if I can use my wighting to get at least a few peoples attention like I hope to and make at least some of them see then maybe some will help and then others will see that they really are making a difference and that it really can be done then maybe they will want to help too and it will grow from there and maybe I will get to see my dream of a WORLD UNITED come true before I die. If we all work together, if we all try and get in to the game even a little we can do so much to make life better for so many. Most of the problems that lie before us were laid down by us and their not going to go away on their own. Just like we started them we've got to end them but no one can do it alone it's going to take people everywhere standing up for whats right and doing something to help. Even the slightest bit of kindness can do so much and if we all do our part then there will always be someone there to help anyone in need. Then no one will have to say I have no where to turn, no one to help me, what will I do ? Because there will be someone for everyone. And that's my dream for a brighter tomorrow.
I dream of a UNITED WORLD myself all the time. I could not understand why so people still suffering from hunger and poverty while so many in the other side of the world keeping wasting. It does not make sense to me why some people make so much money which a lot more was deprived of it. I do not understand corruption and greed. Why people want to keep money and power to themselves instead of making use of these to good uses. Why they feel so insecure??? You cannot bring money with you to your afterlife anyway!!! It's time to end all competitions in fame and fortune. We need to work together to make a better world.
Everything you've said is true sad but true none the less. That's why it's high time we find away to put an end to it. I don't know what it is about money but for most people that have it, it seems the more they've got the more they want. That is why the mane group of people I hope to target with my books are those with the fame and fortune the ones that have so much and give so little. Did you know that even a lot of the celebrities that do donate money to good causes the amount they give in comparison to what they have is the equivalent of the average working mans pocket change, and I find that to be really just an insult to those in need in this world it's like a slap in the face if you ask me. They might as well go to the people and tell them I see your problems I know you need homes, food and water, clothes, medicine, and many other important things and though I'm not going to give you these things I do have a dollar for each of you and in a minute I'll be going around with a camera man taking pictures with some of you so that it looks like I care. It's sad yes but thats the way it is most of the time there are some people with the means to help and to make a difference that really do, do their part and I give them all the credit for that. But we need more people like them in the world. And with people like us out there fighting each day to open their eyes maybe a better time in this world it's to far away.
the way to end the world's hunger and poverty is to teach people to love themselves and others. I felt sorry for your lost child and wish you all the best. You have a great heart.
