I wrote this a week ago, and I feel that this sums up my beliefs in about 22 lines. The two main subjects are the societies in the first world versus the third world (specifically Darfur). Many people read this and feel down by the reality, but I want this to evoke a sense of responsibility to change, to stay optimistic. We are the society, we can change, and you guys are the ones who can set those examples.

The “boycott” was named in 1880 for Captain Charles Boycott, the agent for an unfair absentee landlord, with whom Irish renters (joined by others in the area) refused to have
